OUR PROGRAMS
Community Uplift. Youth Development. Lasting Impact.
The Central Valley Diamond Foundation is a charitable orginazation. Every program we run is rooted in a single conviction: that investing in the Valley's families and young men today builds a stronger community for everyone tomorrow.
From holiday shopping experiences for families in need, to competitive golf fundraisers, to structured youth achievement programming, our three flagship initiatives reflect the fraternal values of achievement, service, and brotherhood.

FLAGSHIP PROGRAM
SHOP WITH A KAPPA
Shop with a Kappa is the Central Valley Diamond Foundation's signature holiday giving program. Each year, we partner with local businesses and community donors to take families in need on a fully funded shopping experience — giving children the chance to pick out their own gifts, clothes, and essentials for the holiday season.
The program is designed to deliver dignity alongside generosity: every participating child is accompanied by a Kappa Alpha Psi member who serves as their personal shopping guide, making the experience personal, joyful, and community-connected.
Who We Serve: Families in the greater Bakersfield area experiencing financial hardship during the holiday season. Nominations are accepted from community partners, schools, and directly from families.

KAPPA ALPHA PSI SIGNATURE INITIATIVE
GUIDE RIGHT PROGRAMMING
Guide Right is the signature youth achievement initiative of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. — a structured program designed to develop leadership, academic excellence, and civic responsibility in young men. The Central Valley Diamond Foundation delivers this program locally, bringing Kappa brothers face-to-face with young men in the Bakersfield community.
Through mentorship sessions, workshops, college and career guidance, and real-world exposure to professional achievement, Guide Right gives young men the tools and the community they need to succeed — on their own terms, with fraternal support behind them.
Who Participates: Young men in the Bakersfield area who are motivated to develop leadership skills and pursue academic and professional achievement. Participation is open — reach out to learn about upcoming sessions and enrollment.
